Baptism at Sulop, Davao del Sur, Philippines

September 12, 2015

Through the hard work of brother Pedrito Matampole and his co-preachers in J.P. Laurel church of Christ, JP Laurel, Malungon, Sarangani Province, TEN (10) SOULS have submitted to BAPTISM at Sulop, Davao del Sur. Most of them are members of "Iglesia Ni Cristo" founded by Felix Manalo in 1914, an influenced religion here in our country who believed that Jesus Christ is NOT God, he is just human. But after for several times of bible study with them, they changed their view according to the bible and now they decided to be baptized in order to become members of the true Church that Jesus built.

Before we go to the water, my father, Julie Divine Notarte, preached about the importance of Water Baptism.

After they confessed Christ as the son of God, we went to the water and baptized them.

10 souls had submitted to baptism. Their names are:

Gospel Meeting at JP Laurel Church of Christ, JP Laurel, Malungon, Sarangani Province, Philippines

September 4, 2015

Gospel Meeting was held at JP Laurel Church of Christ, JP Laurel, Malungon, Sarangani Province, Philippines.

This is brother Pedrito Matampole, the preacher in this congregation. Through his effort, many people in their community heard the truth and many were added to the Church after obeying the Gospel of Christ.

Many speakers were requested to preach. The first speaker was brother Ben Dulong who helped in preaching the Gospel at Digos City, Davao del Sur. He was newly converted to the Church of Christ, just this year. And after that, he was very active in preaching the truth and some of them were baptized.

The second speaker was brother Dionesio Tol, a long time preacher from Dongan Pekong Church of Christ, Dongan Pekong, Matanao, Davao del Sur. He preached even to the place where the rebels lived but through his work, many of them repented and obeyed the Gospel and established a congregation of the Church of Christ.

The 3rd speaker was brother Rudy Coercy Notarte, the eldest son of my father, Julie Notarte. He preached at Tagum City church of Christ, Davao del Norte. His sons are also preachers.

The 4th speaker was brother Joseph Notarte, my eldest brother in flesh. Also helped in preaching in our radio program at "Radyo Ukay Digos" every Saturday, 6:00 to 6:30 in the evening.

The 5th speaker was brother Jonathan Notarte, my elder brother in flesh who is also preaching in our radio program.

I am the 5th speaker, Joshua Notarte. My topic was focused on the life of a preacher since this schedule was originally made as a preachers training. But then, when the neighbors in this church building heard that there were preaching happened, they also attended and wanted to hear the truth.

My father, Julie Divine Notarte, was the 6th and last speaker who taught about the Church of Christ as what the BIBLE says.

After the bible lectures, many were blessed and so we decided to make this as monthly preachers training as what the host preacher requested. God willing, we could make that plan possible.

After the whole day of preaching, we went home with a smile on our face and joy that our day was fruitful in God's precious work. Behind us is the small church building where the saints gathered to worship.

Bible Study at Provincial Jail, Digos City, Davao del Sur, Philippines

The Gospel of Christ was brought to the prisoners in Provincial Rehabilitation Center (PRC), commonly known as Provincial Jail located in Matti, Digos City, Davao del Sur, Philippines. We just started preaching in this jail since APRIL 2015 every Thursday morning at 9 to 10 o'clock.

This time, brother JONATHAN NOTARTE preached the word of God. Through biblical teaching of the Church of Christ and verse by verse we deliver the truth about Salvation, many are now interested to hear the bible study. God willing, many souls will submit to baptism after we can get permit from Jail administration.

We are lucky to capture pictures inside the jail compound since in general, they don't allow it. From the left of the picture is brother Ruel Eloy, I am the next, then a jail guard, and the man who wears brown shirt is the Warden Espinosa, then brother Ben Dulong who is the reason we were able to have this jail ministry and the last is brother Jonathan Notarte.
