Funeral Service & Burial of Brother Morales Amad

On the last funeral service of brother Morales Amad, we were requested to preach and comfort his family through the word of God. He died on August 27, 2016 due to illness and lack of medicines. He was poor and needy. His wife could not even attend the burial because she was sick and the family could not afford to bring to the hospital. Brother Morales Amad was baptized by my father about 2 years ago after the Gospel Meeting at Pinantao church of Christ, Pinantao, Sudapin, Kidapawan City. After that, he helped in edifying the brethren and practice leading the songs of the Church and remain faithful to Christ until death. 

 

Before the burial, we conducted first the funeral service in the church building of Pinantao church of Christ where brother Marvin Pinantao preaches. It was not yet finished because the brethren are much affected by crisis. My father, Julie Divine A. Notarte, preached the word of God. I (Joshua Notarte) was requested to lead the songs. Other preachers who cooperated were brother Joseph Notarte, Abel Espiritu, Arturo Bugcotan, Hope Itdang and Victor Ambag.

Gospel Meeting at Dapok church of Christ, Dapok, Daig, Tulunan, Cotabato (5 SOULS BAPTIZED)

By God's providence, the Gospel of Christ was preached at Dapok church of Christ where brother Jimmy Labuguen preaches. Through this work, the brethren were edified and grow their knowledge into Christ. Also, the truth was boldly proclaimed to the alien sinners and resulted to 5 souls who submitted to baptism.

Many preachers had attended but only 5 were able to preach due to limited time. They were brother Cenon Taña, Joseph Notarte, I (Joshua Notarte), Franklin Isla and Julie Divine A. Notarte.

During the invitation song, 5 SOULS came forward and submitted to baptism. They heard the truth for many times by attending worship services, bible studies and radio programs of the Church of Christ. Brother Matias Enoc baptized them in the nearest river and we give all the glory to God.

Funeral Service of Brother Fernando Bayoc

The brethren are in deep mourning due to the death of brother Fernando Bayoc that was killed by bandits. He was working that time when he was shot by gun. He is a nephew of brother Pedrito Matampole who is a preacher in J.P. Laurel church of Christ, J.P. Laurel, Malungon, Sarangani Province. 

We were requested to preach on the funeral service in their house at Molave, Talus, Malungon, Sarangani Province. My father, Julie Divine A. Notarte, preached the word of God. Many of those who attended are not yet members of the Church of Christ so it was a great opportunity for us to preach the truth. The preachers who cooperated were brother Joseph Notarte (who lead the songs), Jonathan Notarte and I (Joshua Notarte).

9:00 - 11:00 AM - I (Joshua A. Notarte) and my father, Julie Divine A. Notarte, preached on the worship service at Digos City church of Christ, Roxas Ext., Zone 3, Digos City, Davao del Sur. 

At the same time, brother Jonathan A. Notarte preached at Bitaug church of Christ, Bitaug, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur. Together with him who preached was brother Valente Tumol Sr.

Brother Advincula Odas was sent to preach at Astorga church of Christ, Astorga, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur.

Brother Joseph A. Notarte preached in 2 congregations of the Church of Christ. First, he preached at New Quezon church of Christ, New Quezon, Hagonoy, Davao del Sur. Second, he preached at Manga church of Christ, Manga, Matanao, Davao del Sur.

4:00 - 5:00 PM - I (Joshua A. Notarte), preached on the worship service in Padada church of Christ, Sikatuna St., Padada, Davao del Sur.

Gospel Meeting at Santolan church of Christ, Santolan, Asbang, Matanao, Davao del Sur (8 SOULS BAPTIZED)

By God's grace, the Gospel Meeting at Santolan church of Christ was fruitful with more souls added into Christ. Brother Dominguez Manife is the preacher in this congregation for many years. He was baptized in the Church of Christ on the year 1971. The same year when my father was baptized. After that, he helped in preaching the truth and help build several congregations after many sinners repented their sins, obey the Gospel and remain faithful to Christ.

We were always requested to preach during their Gospel Meetings. The speakers were brother Joseph Notarte, Jonathan Notarte, I (Joshua Notarte), and Julie Divine A. Notarte. The brethren were edified and the truth was plainly taught with scriptural basis.

After preaching the truth, 8 SOULS came forward during the invitation song. After confessing Christ, we went to the water and baptized them. To God be the glory! Their names are: 1. Rocky Malinao, 2. Elyn Millara, 3. Jennifer Malayang, 4. Angelica Bantilan, 5. Junrex Lew, 6. John Rey Nalo, 7. Rose Nalo, and 8. Sheila Mae Nalo. The youngest was 11 years old. They were not forced to be baptized. They heard the truth for quite a long time. Their grandfather is the preacher in this congregation. Please pray for our new brethren in Christ.

Funeral Service of Wancy Madagat

The Gospel of Christ was proclaimed on the funeral service of Wancy Madagat. We were requested to preach through the help of sister Vicky Madaging who is an active member at Digos City church of Christ. Wancy Madagat had many relatives who are members of the Church of Christ and he attended many of our bible studies in times like this. 

My father, Julie Divine A. Notarte, preached the word of God. Brother Joseph Notarte also lead the songs. We comfort the family and relatives of Wancy Madagat but above all, it was a great opportunity in preaching the truth about Salvation. Many people attended and heard the truth. May God touch their hearts to obey it.
