We comfort the family of brother Dulay Tol through the word of God during the funeral service in their house at Purok Cebuano, Poblacion Malungon, Sarangani Province. He died at 80 years old due to complicated illness and lack of medicines. They are very poor. His wife is crying when my father, Julie Divine A. Notarte, give some amount of help for the burial expenses.
Brother Dulay Tol is an elder brother of Dionisio Tol who is a preacher in Dongan Pekong church of Christ, Dongan Pekong, Matanao, Davao del Sur. Brother Dulay was baptized when brother Jim McDonald preached in General Santos City few years ago. After that, he help in preaching the Gospel of Christ and established a congregation in their house. His son, Ernesto Tol, continue his work and is now preaching here in Purok Cebuano church of Christ. They build a small meeting place and continue the worship services every Sunday. Not far from here, we visited also the brethren in Poblacion church of Christ, Poblacion, Malungon, Sarangani Province but we are sad because it is already a dead congregation. They don't have worship services anymore after their preacher died few years ago. (see on the 3rd picture)
During the funeral service, brother Julie Divine A. Notarte preached the word of God. I (Joshua A. Notarte) lead the songs and cooperated with brother Joseph Notarte, Jonathan Notarte, Pedrito Matampole and Dionisio Tol.
