The lost are saved as a result of Gospel Meetings. This is what happen when the truth was preached not only to the brethren but also to the alien sinners. And we are thankful to God for His grace in making this possible on the Gospel Meeting at Saub church of Christ, Saub, Matanao, Davao del Sur where brother Dionisio Tol preaches. More souls were added into Christ by obeying the Gospel.
The brethren here were victims of long drought and wars due to the rebels and bandits. Many people were afraid to enter in this place because of killings. One of them that was killed by the bandits was brother Florentino Emanuel. He was also a preacher in this congregation and was killed in front of this church building just this year. Please pray for the safety of our brethren here.
Every year, we are always requested to be the speakers on their Gospel Meeting. I (Joshua Notarte) was one of the speakers together with brother Advincula Odas, Joseph Notarte and Julie Divine A. Notarte. Brother Jonathan Notarte also lead the songs. Some of the brethren who attended came from far places. They walked at least 4 hours from the mountain just to attend and hear the word of God. We admire their faith and sacrifice for this precious work.
After preaching, 6 SOULS responded to the invitation and were baptized at the river by brother Dionisio Tol. Their names are: 1. Jun Rey Tol, 2. Patrito Bongan, 3. Colinya Samling, 4. Lyla Mae Bongan, 5. Arnel Palawan, and 6. Arkim Dianga. The youngest was 11 years old. She's small but that was the normal height of a Filipino. They heard the truth for many times through bible studies and radio program of the Church of Christ. Brother Jonathan Notarte read some admonishing words from the bible and we give all the glory to God.
