Funeral Service at Tibungoy church of Christ, Tibungoy, Sta. Maria, Davao Occidental

December 10, 2015

For the last time before we buried the dead body of our co-preacher, brother Cleofas Carpio, the Gospel of Christ was preached to all who attended. This is to comfort his family through the word of God and also to expose the truth to many alien sinners who attended. Many of his relatives are not yet members of the Church of Christ and through this, many were blessed. My father, Julie Divine A. Notarte, preached and brother Franklin Isla lead the songs.

Brother Cleofas Carpio is a long time Gospel preacher of the Church of Christ. He died on the age of 93 due to heart problems. For many times, he was confined to the hospital but on this last time, he was not brought early because of financial problems. They were poor and not able to buy his prescribed medicines. Please pray for his wife, Magdalena Carpio, and to his family that God may help them both in material needs and above all, spiritual.

Many preachers attended and helped in comforting his family. For several nights, brother Pedrito Matampole preaches. He traveled from his residence in J.P. Laurel church of Christ, J.P. Laurel, Malungon, Sarangani Province. Brother Maximiano Pantil and David Telabangco also help in preaching for the other nights. They both came from Digos City. Brother Danilo Apongan also cooperated who also helped in establishing this local congregation and helped in building this meeting place. He preaches at Leling church of Christ, Purok 3, Leling, Hagonoy, Davao del Sur.

We just ride on the car of brother Franklin Isla because our car's mechanical problem become worst due to everyday use in preaching. The engine needs molding and many more needs to be repaired. We need help for it's repair. Please help us pray that we can find financial assistance for this problem. Many preaching schedules need to be attended and this car is very useful for God's work. Until now that I write this report, Dec. 13, 2015, our car was still not able to run.
