Gospel Meeting at Kawas church of Christ & Funeral Service at Tibungoy church of Christ

We preached on the Gospel Meeting at Kawas church of Christ, Kawas, Ladol, Alabel, Sarangani Province. Brother Carlos Anoling, one of the sons of brother Alejandro Anoling Sr., helped in establishing this local congregation about 2 year ago. We witnessed how hard for them to start this congregation because many religious denominations hindered this work in preaching the truth. But through their hard work and by God's help, this congregation is now growing little by little and were now able to build a small church building. Please pray for our brethren here that they become a strong church in the sight of God.

These are the preachers in this congregation. In the left is brother Jojit Monticalbo. He was baptized during the Bible Lectures of brother Ron Halbrook in Gensan last year and after that he helped in preaching the truth. In the right picture is brother Carlos Anoling who traveled from Kidapawan City, Cotabato.

The brethren were very thankful that their faith was edified after hearing the truth. 

Just about 2 miles away from Kawas church of Christ is another congregation were brother Samson Castillon preaches at Malapatan church of Christ, Lun Padidu, Malapatan, Sarangani Province. We took the opportunity to visit his place and were thankful to see their situation. They also plan to build a church building in front of his house. We hope that these 2 congregations can work together in preaching the Gospel to many lost souls.

After the gospel meeting, we went to Tibungoy church of Christ, Tibungoy, Sta. Maria, Davao Occidental to preach the word of God on a funeral service because of the death of our co-preacher, brother Cleofas Carpio on Dec. 1, 2015 right after he attended the preacher training class in J.P. Laurel church of Christ, J.P. Laurel, Malungon, Sarangani Province.

We comfort his wife, Magdalena Carpio, in this hard time through the word of God that will not only edify our faith but also gives us hope and assurance that there will be a great reunion of the righteous if we will remain faithful to Christ unto death.

Brother Rudy Coercy A. Notarte was requested to lead the songs.

Brother Julie Divine A. Notarte preached about "The Book of Life."

Unfortunately, our car was in trouble in our way to Sta. Maria, Davao Occidental. It was overheated due to a leak in its cooling system. The water flushes out fast and we have to add more water every 3 to 4 miles before it drains. Sad to say, we need to repair it again. This car is already old, a 1996 model but still useful in God's work.

It was dark but we are still on the road. We were very tired because of the whole day activity in preaching but still thankful that God help us on our way until we reach home safely.
