6 Souls Baptized in Sulop, Davao del Sur & Radio Preaching at night

April 30, 2016

By God's grace and continued hard work in preaching the Gospel of Christ, we were able to continue in harvesting many lost souls and are now members of the Church of Christ. Six (6) precious souls submitted to baptism after hearing the truth for several times. This is through the help of brother Pedrito Matampole who preached in J.P. Laurel church of Christ, J.P. Laurel, Malungon, Sarangani Province. We thanked God for helping us in making this work possible.




Before we went to the water, brother Julie Divine A. Notarte, preached first the word of God to teach them more about the importance of water baptism and the importance of remaining faithful to God until death. After preaching the truth and confessing Christ as the son of God, we went immediately to the water and baptized them. Their names are: 1. Vivencia Marcos, 2. Winefreda Tubo, 3. Vivian Mamada, 4. Daylin Sadocas, 5. Junabel Ganoy, and 6. Joel Ganoy.




We give all the glory to God every time we do His will with accomplishment. We also thanked the brethren who helped in cooperating with this work. They are brother Joseph Notarte, Jonathan Notarte, Cebe Arjay A. Notarte, Joey Bilang, Ruel Eloy, Adelbert Matampole and I (Joshua A. Notarte).

At 6:00-6:30 PM, the Radio Program of the Church of Christ was heard throughout Davao del Sur province and neighboring provinces depending on their location. I (Joshua A. Notarte) preached this night. I started preaching in our radio program here in Radyo Ukay Digos 104.7 FM since I was 14 years old and I am 28 years old now. Together with me who preach here is my father, Julie Divine A. Notarte and my 2 brothers in flesh, Joseph and Jonathan.

Our co-preacher, Dionisio A. Cantulan, died

April 29, 2016

Brother Dionisio A. Cantulan, our co-preacher of the Church of Christ, was killed by the rebels during the encounter between Philippine Army and Armed Rebels in Astorga, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur on April 26, 2016. Brother Dionisio was preaching in Astorga church of Christ, Astorga, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur and he used his house as a meeting place. We know him since year 2000 because he always attended the bible lectures made by our U.S. brethren like brother Earl Mitchelle, Ron Halbrook, etc. 


His wife and children were very thankful as we arrived in their home and saw their situation. His family members are all members of the Church of Christ. We do what we can to help and comfort them. My father, Julie Divine A. Notarte preached the word of God and brother Jonathan Notarte lead the songs.



The preachers who cooperated who helped in comforting his family are brother Joseph Notarte, Cristituto Maladian, Renato Bogoy, Joey Bilang, Ruel Eloy and I (Joshua Notarte).

Bible Study in Davao del Sur Provincial Jail

April 28, 2016

We thanked God for helping us continue to preach the Gospel of Christ to the prisoners and brethren in Davao del Sur Provincial Jail (also known as "Provincial Rehabilitation Center"). This we do every Thursday for one year already and baptized 18 souls. Many more are interested to be baptized as they heard the truth about the Church of Christ. This day, brother Julie Divine A. Notarte preached the word of God. Brother Joseph A. Notarte lead the songs. The preachers who cooperated were brother Jonathan A. Notarte, Ben Dulong and I (Joshua A. Notarte). Our prayer is that God open the heart of those who heard the word of God and obey God's command without delay.

Gospel Meeting in Suawan church of Christ, Suawan, Marilog District, Davao City (2 SOULS BAPTIZED)

The Gospel of Christ was preached on 2 Days Gospel Meeting at Suawan church of Christ where brother Martino Soboy preaches. This congregation was established on early 1970's and until now they remain faithful. Some of them who were first baptized are still alive like brother Nadim, who is one of the elders in this congregation. We are thankful for their invitation to preach here that edify many brethren in Christ.




There were 8 SPEAKERS who preached the word of God on this second day. They are brother (1) Juan Caa, (2) Feleciano Linao Sr., (3) Gerry Caa, (4) Noli Caa, (5) Dudley Ross Balbin, (6) Sonny Dave Balbin, (7) I, Joshua A. Notarte, and (8) Julie Divine A. Notarte. There were many more preachers who attended but due to limited time, they were not able to preach. Some of them are brother Joseph A. Notarte, Cebe Arjay Notarte, Connie Balbin, Keith Alagano, Leonardo Manlatas, Pepe Ando, etc.





After preaching the truth, 2 precious souls came forward during the invitation song and submitted to baptism. To God be the glory!

Bible Study in Davao del Sur Provincial Jail, Matti, Digos City, Davao del Sur

April 21, 2016

Many hungry souls attended our bible studies as we continue to preach the Gospel of Christ to the prisoners in Davao del Sur Provincial Jail (also known as "Provincial Rehabilitation Center"). They are very thankful for making this bible studies for it help them to find the truth and obey what God commanded. On the other side, we are also thankful to the jail administration especially to the Jail Warden Espinosa who permitted us to preach here every Thursday. May the Lord continue to touch the hearts of every sinners and criminals to repent on their sins and live for Christ. This day, my father Julie Divine A. Notarte, preached the word of God. Brother Ben Dulong and I (Joshua A. Notarte) had cooperated. Please help us pray for this work to grow and successful in harvesting many more souls.

4 Souls Baptized at Lozada, San Isidro, Hagonoy, Davao del Sur

April 20, 2016

After the hard work of preaching the Gospel of Christ through bible studies, 4 souls obey God's command by submitting to baptism. This is through the help of brother Jimmy Labuguen and his co-preachers who are preaching in Dapok church of Christ, Dapok, Daig, Tulunan, Cotabato and in neigboring congregations. They are preaching even to rebel areas where many of them repented their sins and now members of the Church of Christ. Before we went to the water, brother Julie Divine A. Notarte preached first in Digos City church of Christ, Roxas Ext., Zone 3, Digos City, Davao del Sur to refresh in their mind the importance of water baptism and by remaining faithful to God.



After preaching the truth, we went to Lozada, San Isidro, Hagonoy, Davao del Sur and baptized them. Their names are: 1. Edwin Gulanday, 2. Richard Diandan, 3. Jenny Cris Gabay, and 4. Jackym Gabay. After baptism, I (Joshua A. Notarte) read some scriptures to edify them in their faith. We give all the glory to God.

Funeral Service of Brother Victor Masucal Sr.

April 18, 2016

Our brother in Christ, Victor Masucal Sr., died on April 12, 2016 at the age of 50 due to "Heat Stroke." The intense heat of the sun due to long drought cause his death. Their place was much affected by El Nino calamity where many of their crops and trees died. Brother Victor was an active member in Bacungan church of Christ, Bacungan, Magsaysay, Davao del Sur. His wife, Carmen Masucal, was also very active in the work of God. They helped in establishing a congregation and built a meeting place beside their house. The last time we met with brother Victor was in a Gospel Meeting at Malawanit church of Christ, Malawanit, Magsaysay, Davao del Sur on April 2, 2016.



On the last funeral service and burial, brother Julie Divine A. Notarte, was requested to preach. We comfort his family to continue in their faith. There were hundreds of people who attended and heard the truth. Brother Joseph Notarte was requested to lead the songs and brother Jonathan Notarte and I (Joshua Notarte) had cooperated. Brother Little Tari also help in preaching on the funeral services every night. He is also a preacher in this congregation for several years and help restoring many brethren.



Please pray for the family of brother Victor Masucal Sr. who are grieving for the loss of their loving father. They need our comfort and prayers in this trying times. But overall, we are thankful that brother Victor spend his last days in serving God and we believe that he died in the Lord. (Rev. 14:13)
