The Gospel of Christ indeed is the power of God unto salvation (Romans 1:16). It will penetrate in the heart of those who listen to His word with sincerity (Heb. 4:12). As a result, many sinners obeyed it after repenting their sins.
We are glad on this day because One (1) soul submitted to baptism after hearing the Gospel of Christ through several bible studies. He is NESTOR CABALLERO who attended several times in our worship service in Digos City church of Christ, Roxas Ext., Zone 3, Digos City, Davao del Sur.
Before we went to the water, I (Joshua A. Notarte) was requested to preach first in Digos City church of Christ to refresh in our mind the importance of water baptism even if he already decided. After preaching the truth, we went to Lozada, San Isidro, Hagonoy, Davao del Sur and brother Julie Divine A. Notarte baptized him and we give all the glory to God. Other preachers who cooperated were brother Joseph Notarte, Jonathan Notarte, Cebe Arjay A. Notarte and Matias Enoc.
Many brethren are still in need of Bibles and Hymnals translated in our local dialect "Cebuano." There are some congregations in the hinterland who only own five and even two bibles and hymnals used on their worship services. Thankfully, through the help of brother Ron Halbrook, many have benefited free bibles given by U.S. brethren. As of the hymnals, we personally made the copies but we can only reproduce up to 10 hymnals per day. Our printer is not heavy duty. This day, brother Matias Enoc, received the bibles and hymnals to be used for the brethren in their place and he is very thankful for it.
