Romans 10:14-15
“How then will they call on him in whom they
have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never
heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to
preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO PREACH THE GOOD NEWS!”
Preachers are messengers who bring blessings wherever they preached the truth. We need them to help spread the Gospel and edify the brethren to grow in the knowledge of Christ. Thus we see, the urgent need in training and equipping the preachers of the Church of Christ.
We are thankful that the brethren in Dalumay church of Christ, Purok 5, Dalumay, Magsaysay, Davao del Sur are dedicated in hosting a 2 Days Preacher Training Class. Brother Ronald Jay Dela Rosa is the preacher in this congregation for 1 year since it was established through the help of brother Ringene Grengea, Pedrito Matampole, etc. and baptized several souls to Christ. Although, there was a congregation of the Church of Christ here before on the year 1973 since this place become an evacuation area. About 9 church buildings of the Church of Christ in Magsaysay and Matanao areas were burned with fire by the Muslim rebels. Hundreds of brethren were displaced and about 200 of them stayed here for several years. Some of the elderly brethren here still remember their hardship in such crisis. But the good news is, they remain faithful to Christ until now.
